Session 13 Summary

Night: The party fortifies the eastern side of the Hold and rests for the night.

December 30
Morning: The group attacks the western hold via the southern bridge, battling duergar and their crossbow automatons. Winning through, they move on to search several empty rooms. One room, a ruined cathedral, piques their interest, but they decide to return to it later.

Afternoon: At the Hold’s southern gate, the party encounters and defeats several orcs and a huge ogre savage. The fighting is pitched, and just as the party is mopping up the survivors, one of them yells “Framarth! Kill the slaves!” Without pausing for a rest, the party moves north and discovers the Winterhaven slaves surrounded by duergar and, oddly, two devils.

Battle is once again joined, and the party is victorious. Exhausted and badly wounded, they gather the rescued slaves and bring them back again to the eastern part of the Hold.

Evening: Once again, the eastern part of the Hold is fortified and the party beds down for the night.
